Academic Programmes of Studies

Profectus Minds International School (PMIS) is an international private School located in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. STEAM Education and English-French bilingualism are at the heart of its pedagogy. This drives us even more to begin with the end in mind, and prepare students for life-long success and careers of impact.

PMIS closely follows the rigorous AERO (American Education Reaches Out) Curriculum guidelines and the Common Core standards issued by the United States Department of Education.
Our innovative and student-centered educational approach strengthens and develops what makes learners exceptional. This focus on the whole child means that our students build academic skills and life skills(through character education). PMIS provides its diverse student body with the experiences, skills, and values that prepare them for success in school, contribute in the STEAM field and to navigate in a changing world.

At the Pre-Kindergarten level, children are placed in a typical English classroom situation whether they speak English fluently or not. In Kindergarten, French is added as part of the reading curriculum. From this grade on, the percentage of French in the curriculum will increase from 20% to 40% in 5th grade. This dual language approach has specific objectives: by the end of Cycle 1 (Kindergarten), students begin to read in French. By the end of Cycle 2 (2nd grade), students read in both English and French. By the end of Cycle 3 (6th grade), students are capable of reading and writing in both languages.
