Our Middle School programme will allow a smooth and fluent transition from primary school. The middle school programme at PMIS will span three years. In Middle School, our students will work towards acquiring an in-depth understanding and appreciation for learning that will prepare them for whatever their future holds.
In order for students to discover and reach their full potential, we encourage more independent working at this stage. Students in middle school will look to get involved in self-assessment techniques so that they may set personal learning and social goals that are specific to their needs.
Tasks and activities will be differentiated to accommodate the variety of student's understanding and linguistic abilities. Teachers and students will liaise and agree on extension activities, extended time or adapted assessment methods; either way, all students will work towards achieving success within the same set of learning objectives while at the same time experimenting with individuality and flair.
Our High School programme (to open soon) starts in 9th grade and will span four years. In High School, students will choose either the American Program leading to an American High School Diploma or the pre-International Diploma Baccalaureate Program aimed at preparing them for the International Baccalaureate® Diploma Programme in grades 11 and 12.
Building upon previous learning, we will continue the bilingual approach to teaching and learning with an even mix of French and English language delivery across the variety of subjects.
